And I have searched the forum on my queries. My queries are I hope simple ones and mainly due to me setting up pnotepad for all my existing programs. I am on 2.3.4. 1. I have created a number of projects (individual programs) under a Project Group but whenever I open pnotepad all the projects are shown with with their files uncollapsed (if thats the word) e.g. Project file 1 file 2 ... file n This is after having collapsed them all before exiting. As I have a lot of small projects (programs) I was hoping to include them in just a few project groups. 2. Is a similar query. Having selected all the files I want from a project I can open them all on a right click. I have set Use Maximised New Doument Windows and so I get tabs across the top. How do I close all the windows for the project in one go (a right click on a tab and Close All closes everything including all the projects and the project group). Thats it. I program in C using lcc as a compiler/linker driven now from pnotepad - if anyone wants help setting up such a system please ask. Bug in interface rendering? So in that area anything that the previous view had when changing to pn2 remains unchanged. Also scintilla box won't resize. Even when I change the window size the scintilla box remains the same size. Any ideas what could be causing this? I did install it over the old installation, but when the problems occurred I uninstalled it, deleted the folder and installed again with same results. In the default configuration PN seems to incorrectly handle international characters. I expect there are settings which I could use to fix the problem, but I can't seem to find them. Could anyone please direct me to the right place, or, if these are real bugs, may I ask for a fix? Thank you. Assume this sentence: Kapitán se na nás povzbudivě usmál. (It doesn't matter what it means, just that it has national characters in it.) 1. Cursor navigation using CTRL+leftarrow and CTRL+rightarrow considers the national character as word-breaks. If I start at the "K" at the beginning and keep pressing CTRL+right, I get stops at (marked with asterisk): Kapit*á*n *se *na *n*á*s *povzbudiv*ě *usm*á*l*. The proper sequence should be: Kapitán *se *na *nás *povzbudivě *usmál*. 2. When using the \b in PCRE search, the accented characters are also considered word breaks. When searching for \bkapit\b, I get a match at the beginning of the sentence, but I shouldn't. When searching for \bkapitán\b, I do get a proper match, though. Another editor I use, which also uses the PCRE library, works correctly with both expressions (but as it lacks some features of PN, I need to use both the editors). PyPN Save() Not Working? Overall, I have liked it, but now the cursor is invisible. I have no easy way of telling where the text is going to go when I type. I can't remember any specific thing I did to trigger this behavior. It just started happening one day. After some tinkering, I discovered that if I load certain preset styles, such as "Dark" or "Murky", I can see the cursor, but with the default style, the cursor is invisible. Is there anything I can do to fix this? Previously the pascal scheme was just fine, but now is completely distorted. The syntax elements are associated with the wrong color items. When I use the previous major edition, I was puzzled by it's unicode support in display and editing, especially in Chinese. Althought Simon said that PN2 would be much better in unicode supporting, I found the Chinese support are still not that perfect. For example, you can save the following text as a txt file:"9日，正影响新疆的冷空气将自西北向东南影响中国中东部地区。受较强冷空气影响，未来三天，中国将出现大范围雨雪和大风降温天气，部分降温可达12℃。新疆、西藏、青海、内蒙古、东北等地部分地区将飘起雪花，广东、海南、云南、西藏、四川、贵州、湖南、广西、江西、福建、内蒙古等地部分地区有大雨或暴雨。" When opening this txt file with PN2, you will find that the program regards a Chinese character as two non-unicode characters. And you can "insert into" a Chinese character, delete "half" of it, and found the modified text looks like alien language. Also you can find that when you choose some words in the txt file, some unrelated and dissimilar text zone will be highlighted in light green. But the intersting phenomenon can not be found in Chinese html or xml file. I don't know whether the similar problem can be observed in files in others asin languages or not, maybe any volunteers can have a try. Thanks Simon for such a gorgeous tool all the same. Sometimes happens that the startup of the programmers notepad is sloooow ( one minute or two on a P4 3 GHz - 1GB RAM ) and I don't know how to fix this. Months ago I've completely cleaned all references of the program in the registry and in the new installation all went ok ( few milliseconds and the programmers notepad was up ). After a while something happened and the startup became surprisingly slow... Any idea? It partly works, but gobbles some (or all) of the lines. I've played around with different ways of doing it in Perl, all with the same result. I am attempting to find-and-replace the line breaks with the string '" OR "' (without the single-quotes). This results in one very long line - 66984 characters long to be exact. After performing the find-and-replace, everything past character 65536 is garbled. The info bar at the bottom of the screen tells me that the cursor is currently at cursor 66984 (the end of the document) but the screen view is at character 65536 despite being "scrolled all the way to the right" on the horizontal scroll bar. I've been using PN2 for a while and I'm really into it. I'm using a dual screen setup and I would like to keep the output window on the other screen to maximize the code space. The problem comes when I use tools (eg. WinAVR make command), the output window (which is undocked on the other screen) docks immediately back as docked in main window. Is it a bug or a feature? Is there any way to get that output window to stay undocked when I use the tools? The point here is to be able to use auto-complete in regular *.txt files. But as soon as I pick this schemedef for *.txt files, the word wrapping gets all wrong, wrapping words arbitrary and keeping whitespace at the beginning of new lines. Example Word wrapping like  this is common. Is there a quick fix? However, pressing Control+Tab goes in reverse order through the tabs (right to left). And pressing Control+Shift+Tab goes in forward order (left to right). Expected: Control+Tab should go forward/right, adding Shift should go backward/left. I don't know if this still happens in the beta, I will try to install later and check.
