I think the symbols used to represent spaces and tabs are too dark. They are distracting and they make the file look too cluttered, so I tried to make them lighter by changing the "Whitespace" color under "Styles" in the Options dialog. However, regardless of whatever color I pick, the color doesn't actually change. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

I see. Because bordercolor is not a standard attribute for <table> according to HTML standard by W3C:
(因為在 W3C 訂下的 HTML 標準中, bordercolor 不是一個標準屬性 (attribute))

I am experiencing a similar bug with version 2.0.8.718. I set my background color to black, and my text color to light gray. I also set my line numbers to light gray against a dark blue background. Most of the time, the line numbers show up properly, but for plain text files, they show up as light gray on a beige background for some reason, which is very hard to read. I went through all the scheme and style settings and I can't figure out what is causing that. Does anyone know what is going on and how to fix it?

Hi all.
I've managed to get my keywords listed in the keywords tab, and I've used the 5-9 keys for my keyword groups, but for the life of me I can't change their colours. I tried using the UI, and I can change the colour using the default, but changing the keyword group colours doesn't seem to do anything. I've tried putting the fore= tag in the scheme, but that doesn't change it either. Any help would be appreciated...

If you try the most recent development release there is a dark theme shipped with it. It's a bit rough around the edges and for some schemes at the moment but it's a good start. To get to it go to Options->Styles, select the "Dark" preset from the bottom of the page and press Load.

I saw that, but in order to change anything under Tools -> Options -> Schemes, you need to pick a scheme.

I changed the default text color to white text on a black background. Unfortunately, when I did that, the line-numbers in the left column became white on a light gray background, which is very hard to read. Is there a place to change the background color of the line-number column, or a place to specify a color for the line-numbers independently of the text?

Have a look at the blog post here: http://untidy.net/blog/2006/09/07/pimp-my-pn/

The master.scheme file defines the key colours used throughout and usersettings.xml provides further customisations (the ones done in the UI at present). More of the schemes need to be updated to use those key colours but it kinda works.

I love PN2, but the scheme color configuration is really cumbersome. Most of the time I'm editing C/C++ code, so it's the one I've got congfigured the way I like it -- unfortunately, when I need to edit something else, the colors are completely screwed (naturally).

Is there any way to have all of the other styles "inherit" the colors from one style? For instance, most languages have comments, numbers, strings, characters, etc. and it's a real pain to go through each language and set the color every single time.
