I've be struggling with PN (v2.0.10.1010-dizzy) for days because I have two identical directory structures (checked out from SubVersion, but with a few different files edited), including a .pnproj file at the top level that defines the whole thing as a Magic Folder, but if I open the .pnproj in one directory, the subdirectories are listed in alphabetical order, whereas in the other directory (with an identical .pnproj file), the subdirectories are in some random order (which makes finding the file I want to edit a *real* pain).

Come to find out that PN is sorting the subdirectories by *date modified* order; I don't see *anything* in the documentation on that, nor does the "Sort Folders" menu option seem to do anything, nor have *any* documentation.

I found this post in the forums: "Magic folder - directory sorting by name" (http://pnotepad.org/forums/topic/210#post-759), which seems to suggest that the source code for PN could be changed to allow alphabetical sorting, but I don't see anything in "bugs" or "feature requests" about the order of sub-folders in a Magic Folder. At the very least, the way this works right now needs to be documented, but I can't believe I'm the first to want the folders (and files) in alphabetical order! Is the some option I'm missing??

(PS - I *love* PN, the above notwithstanding!!)

Hey,

This may be by design or I may be mis-understanding something but either way this appears broken to me!

I have a magic folder, and I wants to create a new folder within it, I right click and try "Add New Folder" but nothing happens (in contrast to "Add New File..." which does work).

If it's not supposed to create folders then perhaps it needs to be more clear, if it is then it's not working and isn't grayed out!

I have v2.0.10.1010-dizzy

Thanks!

Hallow devepoler!
i work with a number of files (about 10-15) at a time and, due to folders cant room on a single line of folders tab, they are scrolled by buttons left/right.
much more convinient could be multiple lined folder tab - wich can adjust a number of lines to room all folders, or like windows task-bar, number of lines can be seted by user.
maybe useful could be a dockable folder tab - that can be aligned to a right/left border so the folders showed in 1 column.
