Hallow developers! I have used the PN2. i like it, thancks a lot. previously i used Aditor. here is the features that was in Aditor and i like to use in PN2:
1) autosave an backup of original edited file: it can be saved in current, or temp or recycled directories.
2) autosave an edited file at defined time delay (i used 10 minutes)
3) converts an text from one codepage to another - i frequently used to conerts between DOS CP866 , Win CP1251, KIO8-R, ISO Cirilyc
feature request: need autosave and backup

Memberi need codepage conversion because the peoples, i talk with, use ones codepages.
i know about modern trend on linux/unix platforms migrate to UTF8 from native codepages. but instear of solve problems of native lang codepages, UTF is complicate ones because the reader of a text cant recognise the wright locator of the writer by contens of text, this is still provides by user. so UTF nothing solves.
another reason - my mail ordinary writes in thouse codepages, and rare use UTF.Posted 4 years ago #
