   I have a dumb question:
   I want to run 2 copies of PN at the same time. (because I have 2 monitors) I normally start PN from the command line, by typing c:\pn\pn.exe file_i_want_to_edit.txt is there some magic command line arg I can give it to nave it NOT detect that it is already open, and have ti start a new instance? Thans!

   pn --allowmulti file_i_want_to_edit.txt

   Or if you always want to allow multiple instances so that every time you run pn.exe you get a new one, check the "Allow multiple instances..." option in Options | General.

   thank you so much, but it didnt work for me.
   c:\pn\pn --allowmulti XXX.txt

   what version did this functionality first apper in?
   maybe my version is too old? 2.0.6.1 running on xp64

   Oh wow, 2.0.6! I would highly recommend you look at a newer version - try one of the current testing releases for example (2.1.4). There have been lots of big changes since the version you're using.
