   Since I need to run XP on this laptop and the 1024x600 screen makes multiple cygwin windows somewhat impractical, I'm trying to find a GUI editor that suits my somewhat simple needs, and PN doesn't seem too bad except I can't get it to look the way I need.

   How do I change the font in the output window? I don't understand what overrides what in Schemes/Styles/Advanced, but everything seems to be set to terminal 8pt so why is the output window in Fixedsys?

   Colours. How on earth do I set everything to #00c000 on #000000 with #f08000 comments across all languages? Half the settings appear to be for the same thing and randomly seem to override each other... And how can I change the output window which seems to have a thing for showing dark blue and black on black...

   Ah. Seems you have a bug there Simon. Quite understandable given visuals aren't something you tend to change once you're all setup with an editor :) The Output window appears to change background but no other attributes without restarting the app.

   Can't seem to get rid of the horizontal scroll bar on it either, perhaps word wrap doesn't apply to it?

   Hi, thanks for the comments. The output window thing is a good bug, perhaps you could file it here:

   http://code.google.com/p/pnotepad/

   I think it would have been fixed when you next ran a tool (i.e. without restart) but it's worth looking into. If you haven't got the colours right yet, please do ask for more help and I'll see what I can do.

   The scroll bar is a Scintilla thing, and it's difficult to get rid of.
