I think you should work together with Notepad++.
There are lots of things I really like in pNotepad, but I miss the plugins (like TextFX and FTP_synchronize) in Notepad++.
Do you think this is possible?

I prefer the diversity of having two separate Scintilla based editors.
Right now I am choosing Programmers Notepad over Notepad++ because:
- Python script support with PyPN.
- Well designed source code. Easier to extend, patch and alter.

I would prefer a collaboration, at least for having correct Unicode support and conversions. Notepad++ is very nice, but too bloated. You know, you don't have to use all the stuff, but PNotepad is indeed more lightweight which I prefer. It's the right thing for programming.
So I voted for collaboration, but I don't want the editors to fusion. It's fine: one editor with "all" features, one for programming and so. But programmers also have problems with encodings...
