   Hi!

   I know this has been brought up before, but the replies I found with search was old.
   Is there a way to split the view in notepad++ style?
   Or do I have to wait and use 2 instances instead?

   For the same file you need to have instances (or save a copy and open in two tabs/windows).

   Splitting is coming, but it's not done yet. I know it's desperately needed :)

   In the mean time, you can also go to Options -> Confirmations and change the option for "When attempting to re-open a file" to "Ask Me". You can then open the same file twice and arrange the windows to your liking.

   Thanks for the response.. the suggestions you gave me doesn't solve the problem with wanting to have to separate documents open side by side with its own set of tabs, right?

   You mean one tab for two views? No it doesn't solve that. It does let you have two tabs for the same file, although edits won't be reflected.
