   I could not get auto complete to work in win XP SP2 with PN 2.0.10.10
   I have autocomplete turned on in tools--> options-->autocomplete. I checked the option for AutoComplete after 2 characters and nothing happens.
   No autocomplete for any file formats.

   Can Simon or someone pls tell how to get autocomplete to work?

   Download apis.zip from:
   http://code.google.com/p/pnotepad/issues/detail?id=578

   And unpack *.api files to your:
   ...\PN2\schemes\

   Thanks for looking into this Nux.
   I copied all the api files from that link into C:\Program Files\Programmer's Notepad\Schemes.
   Autocomplete does not work.
   I have also tried moving those api files into \\User\Application Data\Echo Software\PN2\

   Still nothing....autocomplete is still not working for me.

   Try installing SP3 and remember to restart your computer. Oh, and be sure to check your version - I use 2.0.10.1010 not 2 0.10.10 (I guess you made a typo, but just to be sure...)

   BTW, AFAIK api files are not needed in %APPDATA%\Echo Software\PN2\

   Hi, the files are definitely supposed to be in that schemes directory, and I've just double-confirmed that autocomplete works for me in PHP with both the complete after 2 chars option and the manual completion. What is the encoding in the API files you are trying to use (at the top of the .api file) and which language are you trying to use it in?

   I tried again by putting those api files in Schemes directory and still autocomplete do not work.
   All these api files have this in the top lines :

   <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
   <NotepadPlus>

   Please help.

   I tested it again for a php file -- autocomplete works .
   But not working for sql, pl/sql,batch, txt files.
   Something I am missing out here?
